Heart & Soul Studio crafts luxury, sustainable Christmas crackers, tableware, and gifts for some of the UK’s most high-end independents, restaurants, hotels, and designers. From bespoke designs to eco-friendly materials, their creations have been delivering the wow-factor to festive tables for over 40 years.

But when the stakes were highest right before Christmas, they were facing serious fulfilment challenges.

Festive chaos, fulfilment frustrations

After COVID-19 disruptions and unreliable service from a previous 3PL partner, Heart & Soul Studio’s festive operations were under pressure. Logistics errors were stacking up, and they were left without the visibility or control needed to deliver during peak.

This wasn’t just a peak volume issue. And with custom orders, variable units, and time-critical delivery windows, they needed more than just a pick-and-pack provider.

We had issues with our previous partner including delayed deliveries, incorrect order picking, and little or no visibility of quantities and what SKUs were picked.

For us, the run up to the festive season is very busy and it didn’t always go smoothly, as there was no efficient stock system or record keeping. Unfortunately, our previous supplier did not understand the complexities of our product, which is really quite unique. Crackers can vary and when picking from either trays or cartons, there was a lot of confusion.
